THE SCHOOL
What is
the Unstoppable Artists Business School?
The Unstoppable Artists Business School is the only full-fledged
business school for those on their way to the top. The school, founded
by Monroe Mann, is centered around the two principles of Attitude and
Business Sense and reinforced through the philosophy of Break Diving™ -
No Rules, No Excuses, No Regrets. Talent? Talent is assumed.
Who is Monroe Mann?
Monroe Mann is a wild and crazy 27-year-old guy with an irregular
determination to change the world. He is the author of the
critically-acclaimed books, The Theatrical Juggernaut – The Psyche of
the Star, To Benning and Back – the Making of a Citizen Soldier,
Battle
Cries for the Underdog – Fightin’ Words for an Extraordinary Life, and
the upcoming, Operation: STARDOM. He is the CEO of Loco Dawn Films, LLC,
the lead singer of the band, ‘Running for Famous’, and the founder of
both the Unstoppable Artists Business School and the American Break
Diving Association. He is also an intelligence officer in the NY Army
National Guard and a combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
According to hundreds of people, he is one of the most inspiring people
in New York City. He is currently producing the world’s first
wakeboarding feature film entitled, In the Wake, while preparing to
take his band, Running for Famous, onto the national college circuit.
Are you different from any of the other ‘business of acting’ or
‘business of show business’ schools out there?
Yes, absolutely, completely, and immeasurably different. We are the only
true business school for artists in the world. Most other classes are
called ‘business of acting’ or ‘business of show business’ because they
are not real business classes. They are fluff, taught by people who
often don’t truly know the ins and outs of real business. There is no
such thing as the ‘business of show business’—there is only business,
point blank. If the class you are taking doesn’t discuss and teach
marketing angles, press releases, positioning, investing, financing,
contracts, negotiating, business plans, and publicists—to name just a
few—then you are not getting your money’s worth. If you want to be told
about headshots, how to send off ‘mailings’, and how to write the
perfect resume, then by all means take these other joke ‘business
classes’. If you want to learn how to take your life and career into
your own hands by learning timeless and proven business principles that
will open up a world of opportunity for you, enroll at the Unstoppable
Artists Business School.
Who teaches
the classes and advises students?
Monroe Mann himself currently teaches all sections. Some assistance is
provided in class by school-certified opportunity advisors. All
opportunity advisors are accomplished professionals in the arts,
certified by Unstoppable Artists Business School founder Monroe Mann.
See below for more information.

I’ve taken other classes and worked with other ‘consultants’ and
‘success coaches’ and have been disappointed. What’s special about you
guys? What’s so great about your instructors and opportunity advisors?
Our instructors and advisors are hands-down the best. Here’s why. Each
of our instructor/advisors:
• Is a published author OR is
currently working on his/her first book
• Is an alumnus, and has proven
his/her ability to produce breaks and opportunities easily and
consistently
• Has ‘been there, done that’,
i.e. speaks from experience
• Lives the Break Diver’s Creed on
a daily basis
• Owns his/her own business
• Has appeared on television or
radio as a guest
• Has amazing stage presence and
the ability to stand up and teach in an animated, optimistic and
energetic manner
• Has the ability to pump people
up and inspire them
• Is more than just an ‘artist’,
i.e. has many other interests—is diversified in the arts and in life
• Has read all of the books on the
UABS reading list, and has demonstrated advanced understanding of each
one
• Has meticulously studied and
learned, and completely understands all UABS principles and techniques
• Is practicing what is preached,
every day
• Has own website
www.TheirName.com, etc
• Has been certified by Monroe
Mann and the Unstoppable Artists Business School
[back to top]
Are any of your
students succeeding?
The answer is an unequivocal yes. Graduates of the Unstoppable Artists
Business School are—hands down—the future power-brokers of the artistic
world. Our students and alumni appear regularly in major motion
pictures, on television, and on Broadway; are interviewed by the most
prestigious of media such as Carson Daly, CNN, the Today Show, and
Glamour Magazine; are starting their own production companies, record
labels, publishing houses; and—well—are actively creating their own
opportunities on a daily basis. Check out the
links page for a partial list of
graduate websites to see what they’ve been up to lately, or read on to
the next question for testimonials.

I’m still not convinced. Do you have any student testimonials that I can
read?
But of course. Here is a sampling of what a number of different students
have to say. Check out each of their websites for more information.
Heck, email them if you like and ask them yourself what they think of
the school:
From Douglas C. Williams, UABS Alumnus, Actor, and founder of
Three Feet From Gold Productions:
"Using the techniques I learned at UABS, I finally took my career into my own hands. I quit my so-called
‘survival job’, and I am now a full-time working actor and producer. I
have been interviewed on Carson Daly, in New York Magazine, at
Broadway.com, and others... All within months after meeting Monroe
Mann. Reading The Theatrical Juggernaut and joining Unstoppable
Artists awakened within me something that I already knew, but forgot.
The only thing standing between myself and greatness is... myself. I
now have the vision, the tools, and the drive. Thanks Monroe! See you
at the Top!”

From Scot Wisniewski, UABS Alumnus, Actor, Producer, and founder of
Independent Records:
“I graduated from the Unstoppable Artists
Business School in 2002. Since then, I self-produced my very own
one-man cabaret show which ran to sold out crowds in 2002 for three
months at NYC’s famous Don’t Tell Mama. I was nominated for a 2003 MAC
award for best male debut, and received rave reviews in many national
publications as well as praise in Backstage as one of the best debuts
of 2002. I also produced and recorded my first CD entitled Scot
Wisniewski: A Classic Christmas on Independent Records. The CD sold
out in the 2002 Christmas season, and received rave reviews in every
major theater publication in NYC. This past year, I was also hired for
two commercial print modeling layouts in Training Magazine. As a
bonus, I was recently recognized by my alma mater Keuka College with a
lengthy article published in their quarterly magazine about my
success. All after taking the class.”

From Sheryl Matthys, UABS Alumnus, Actress, and founder of Leashes &
Lovers:
I graduated from the UABS course in the spring of 2003. When I
arrived at the school, I was a steadily working commercial actor (Novartis,
Sony, Xerox, Ovaltine, Breck Shampoo, etc) with an average of a
booking each week. Using the techniques I learned at Unstoppable
Artists, I’m now taking it all to the next level. Now armed with
stronger business & marketing tools from the UABS, I am now
approaching the market more specifically and creating an entertainment
TV dog show which I will host with my dog. I also started my own
company, Leashes & Lovers, which has afforded me interviews in many
publications, including Glamour UK. Thanks Monroe!

From Jeff Goldstein, UABS Alumnus, Actor, and founder of Joey Vegas
Productions:
“A friend of mine said ‘Jeff, you have to check out this
site… UnstoppableArtists.com; it’s right up your alley.’ So I checked
it out, liked what I saw, and made plans in my head to call Monroe &
take his class. I also purchased his book The Theatrical Juggernaut
and started reading it. Wow! Talk about motivation—I felt totally
empowered after just the first chapter. In the meantime, I had
auditioned for a legit agent who was very interested in me but who
explained that he had two other actors who were ‘my type’, who always
booked for them. But he kept my headshots and said, ‘You never know
what might change.’ Well, after reading The Theatrical Juggernaut, I
felt so “unstoppable” that I wrote a letter to this agent, included
movie tickets, and told him to go to the movies and spot roles that he
could have cast me in. A couple of days later he called, informing me
that he was going to sign me. Using the guerrilla tactics stated in
the book, I signed with legit agent Barry Kolker of The Carson
Organization on March 25, 2003. If I hadn’t read Monroe’s book I would
not have an agent right now.” AFTER TAKING THE CLASS: “Using the
techniques I learned at UABS, I formed my own production company Joey
Vegas Productions, which went on to produce the award-winning short
film The Lilac Papers starring two-time Emmy-winning actress Stephanie
Braxton... and me! My motivation, know-how, & success is all a direct
result of being coached by Monroe Mann at UABS. Monroe...your name is
now in my acceptance speech for my Tony, Emmy, Oscar & Grammy.”

From Erik Davies, UABS Alumnus, Actor, and Producer:
“Monroe's book
The Theatrical Juggernaut and his school’s business course were just
what the doctor ordered, right at the perfect time in my life. Before
I took his course, I was at the lowest of lows in my career.
Everything seemed hopeless, useless. I questioned what the hell I was
doing and who I was fooling. Taking Monroe's course and reading his
book got me out of my futile, indulgent rut in a BIG way and gave my
butt the swift, full-on kick it ever so needed. Now I'm on overdrive.
Using the techniques I learned at UABS, I’ve approached my career from
a completely new angle & with a refreshing new attitude—and it has
made such a mountain of difference. For example, during the last week
of his class I booked a principle role on NBC’s ER. Enough said. But
I'll say a few more things. I also signed with an agent and found a
new management group. My website went up at that time as well. Most
recently, I booked my second Random House audio book. I thank Monroe
for all this. I needed the kick in the ass, and the road map to show
me a way.”

From Tamara Kosh, UABS Alumnus, Actor, Dancer, and Founder of Arts
United:
“Monroe Mann is the most positive and inspirational person I have
met in New York City. If anyone has ever told you that your dreams are
too big and your success is based on luck, then you really must meet
Monroe, read his book The Theatrical Juggernaut-The Psyche of the
Star, and take his class at UABS. You will be inspired, motivated, and
rightly convinced that there is nothing in your way. In the past
month, I have been called in for numerous independent films, have
started writing a book, and have begun submitting grant proposals for
my own arts education organization! I have learned that my future is
made by ME, not by "the perfect agent", not by casting directors, and
most definitely not by luck! UABS is a real business school, and not
like most fluff "business for actors" classes offered. This is the
real deal! I have learned how to market, advertise and publicize my
services as an actress, dancer, and writer—to accentuate and show off
my unique qualities and characteristics—to set myself apart from every
other performer. Perhaps most importantly, Monroe is a living example
of what he teaches—he talks the talk and walks the walk. He literally
practices what he preaches and does so with passion! Monroe not only
teaches his students, but he fully believes in all their dreams and
sincerely wants to help them and see them succeed. Become
UNSTOPPABLE—take his class now!”

From Arthur Brown, UABS Alumnus, Actor:
“I took Monroe's course in Feb 2002. I found it practical, inspiring
and empowering. After the course, I begin auditioning like crazy with
an actual business plan and as a result, I quickly found myself doing
my first equity tour, Kiss Me Kate, at the Carousel Theatre in Ohio,
playing one of the leads: Gangster one, who sings Brush Up Your
Shakespeare. Soon after, I booked another Equity show from which I
gained my Equity card. Thanks Monroe.”

From Charlotte Patton, UABS Alumnus, and Actress: “Using the
techniques I
learned at Unstoppable Artists, I accomplished more things in a month
than I had in the entire previous year. Monroe Mann, a fireball of
positive energy and enthusiasm, literally cheered me out of my complacency and got me going. His book The Theatrical Juggernaut gave
me so many great ideas and such inspiration that I started to put it
all into practice right away. One of his slogans—No Excuses!—has
become my mantra and, since then, I have effortlessly gone from show
to show to show. I would follow this man anywhere! This man will
change your life AND your career!”

Despite those amazing testimonials, I’m still not convinced. Where’s the
proof that this system works? Has anyone truly accomplished said
anything positive about Monroe Mann or the School?
Here are more than a few great reasons why you should get involved with
the Unstoppable Artists Business School:
From Jay Conrad Levinson, World-Famous Author of the
International Bestseller, Guerrilla Marketing, With 14 Million Copies
Sold in 41 Languages:
"Monroe Mann gives you a healthy dose of
reality. Instead of focusing upon what should be, he concentrates upon
what really is. He fills your head with the exact wisdom you're gonna
need to see that beautiful name of yours in bright lights. Rather than
counseling you on where you might find opportunities, he shows you
exactly how to grab a handful of opportunities right by the tail. To
hit it big, you need the Real Deal. Mr. Mann is the Real Deal." IN AN
EMAIL: “Would I blurb your book? I'd blurb it to the skies! You are a
heckuva talented writer. The only books on my computer desk bookshelf
are the 30 I've written and The Theatrical Juggernaut.”

From Bob Fraser, Producer/Writer of Full House & Benson—st-Selling Book, You Must Act:
“If you’re ready to change your
chances of success in work and life, you’d be wise to get
‘battle-ready’ at Monroe’s boot camp for winners. Monroe Mann is a
young man who has done a lot of things in his 26 years. He's been to
the inner circles of the Cannes Film Festival, started his own
business, written several books, gotten a band together, produced an
album and probably most importantly now, earned the rank of First
Lieutenant in the National Guard. I've never met Monroe, but I have
had the pleasure of communicating with him over the digital mail
routes. I've also gotten a chance to read his terrific book, The
Theatrical Juggernaut. If this book is any indication of things to
come, we are going to be hearing a lot about Monroe Mann. There's
advice in "Juggernaut" that will cause the timorous to quake and the
cautious to question, but I can tell you from direct experience that
his over-all message is one that every actor should take to heart.
This is a business. Period. If you hope to be successful you must
become a business-person. Monroe Mann's imprecations to pay attention
to this oft-neglected part of your acting career are sometimes
explosive and controversial but they are rarely off the mark. This is
a book every actor should take an evening to read… Romp on, Monroe.”

From Mike Finnell, CEO, Renfield Productions at The Lot, Hollywood,
and Producer of Gremlins, the ‘burbs, Matinee, and Small Soldiers, to

"Unlike many equally ambitious young people who want to get
into show business, I feel Monroe has the seriousness of purpose and
work ethic to pull it off. In the few short months I have known him,
he has co-written a screenplay, enlisted a professional sports
organization to cooperate with the production, attached a known actor,
and put the movie on the road to actually being produced. This is an
amazing accomplishment… I have no doubts that Monroe Mann will succeed
in this endeavor and any others he sets his mind to."

From William Tomicki of The NJ/PA Express Times, when the school was
called the Unstoppable Actors Business School:
"...make an appointment with the compassionate, yet no-nonsense team
at the Unstoppable Actors Business School. Run by charismatic actor,
Monroe Mann, a combination of a young Tony Robbins and an actor's
drill sergeant, the meetings at UA take a serious look at each
client's individual goals, experiences, and practices to formulate the
exact steps you need to make it to the top of the business. Mann
really wants to see his clients clutching Oscars and is gung-ho with
his encouragement. He lacks the bitterness shown by many veterans in
the acting world, instead showing sympathy and a positive attitude
towards this difficult business. While many schools will teach you
various methods and arts in acting, Mann is one of the few who will
tell you how to attack the business and marketing side of it, arguably
the more important and oft-ignored parts in acting's competitive
climate. His intense meetings will show you everything you need to
take life by the horns and become the working actor you want to be.
His new book, "The Theatrical Juggernaut: The Psyche of the Star" is
an equally valuable motivational tool. Incredibly stirring and
unconventional, it will give a surge of inspiration to anyone with
impossible dreams, even non-actors."

From Pro-Wakeboarder, Leslie Kent, Pro-Woman Wakeboarding World
Champion, X-Games & Gravity Games Bronze Medalist, and Now Filmmaker:
"Battle Cries for the Underdog is by far the most inspiring book I've
ever read. It encourages me to strive harder for my goals and to keep
believing in myself no matter how many hurdles I have to jump over to
get where I am going. Monroe’s book helps to remind us all that we
can't let our every day struggles get us down or make us lose
hope—those struggles are what make us who we are. They build strength
and character. As long as we continue to search for the beauty in
every single thing, those challenging hurdles we are faced with will
continually seem smaller and smaller. Reading this book has helped me
realize that every successful life has its hard times, and that no
life is perfect. We must follow our hearts to reach the success we see
in our dreams. As long as we continue to live our life based on our
own values and principles, then no one else’s opinion should matter.
Life is going to give us sour lemons. In order to succeed, we must
gather all of those sour lemons and make sweet lemonade with love.
This book, Battle Cries for the Underdog, will help us all do just
that.”

From Writer Extraordinaire, Ned Vizzini, Author of It’s Kind of a

contagious without being trite. Long live Monroe Mann!"

How do I know when it’s time to create my own breaks?
The desire to create one’s breaks usually is not someone’s first choice.
Usually it is a decision forged out of frustration and experience. Many
people get involved in the arts with the idea that getting help from
others is a sign of weakness, and feel that a ‘leg up’ should make them
feel guilty. Often, it takes the brutal reality of the business to slap
people around a bit before they truly realize what an undertaking they
have begun. We truly believe that creating your own breaks from the
get-go is the best course of action. Many people, though, don’t agree
until their egos get a reality check. You’ll know it’s time to create
your own breaks when you find that your desire to succeed is growing
while your time on earth is shrinking. If success isn’t coming to you
fast enough, and at the level you intended, you probably should start
producing your own breaks and creating your own opportunities.
Is our school right for you?
Only you can decide, but we might be able to help. Our ‘Ideal/Typical
Students’ are as follows:

significant amount of time and money investing in their career)
• Not a
beginner
• In at least one of the unions
• Optimistic
• Unjaded
• Serious
about their career
• Not looking for the ‘quick fix’
• a Risk-taker
• Tired

their own hands.
Do you fit most of these characteristics? If so, then
our program will probably be a good fit. Young or old, it’s the slightly
ambitious ones who tend to want UABS. If you’re not sure whether you
meet the criteria, but still would like to be considered, simply apply
or contact us. We’ll let you know if we think you’ll benefit from our
program, and if it’s the right time for you to enroll.

I don’t need any cheerleader drill sergeant motivation; I already AM
positive and have a great outlook on my career.
Don’t be so cocky. No one stays positive without help from others,
whether it’s from books, friends, or God. We assure you that the more
motivational people and cheerleadin’ drill sergeants in your life, the
more quickly success will find you. Anyone who thinks their attitude is
so positive that they don’t need any more motivation has undoubtedly one
of the worst attitudes possible—and we don’t want to know you anyway. We
call it being ‘SIPID’—a self-important prima donna. Look, everyone needs
someone or something to help keep them on track. We’re not one of those
‘hokey’ but funny motivational speakers—like Chris Farley’s Man Down By
The River—but genuinely concerned about your future success. Most
importantly, we’re well armed with the business experience to impact the
change you seek.
What do I learn in the
course?
You will learn everything a small business owner needs to survive and
thrive in the world of entrepreneurial enterprise—and specifically as it
applies to your career. Bottom line: We will teach you how to succeed
more quickly through inspirationally-infused marketing, financing,
investing, advertising, sales, networking, publicity, strategy, and
vision.
What can I expect from
the course?
You can expect your life to be changed forever. You will accomplish more
in the three months of the course, and the weeks following, than you did
in the preceding 2 years combined. You will leave more confident, more
focused, and more determined than ever. You will leave as an educated
entrepreneur.
How long is the course?
The program is a la carte, meaning you pick and choose which specific
business courses you want to take. Therefore, it’s as long as you want
it to be. Each individual course is one day in length.
What happens when the
course is over?
That's the best part! We don't abandon you like most schools do. We WANT
you to succeed, and want to be a part of your life when that happens. At
the end of the course, you will take our comprehensive business
examination (or equivalent), and upon passing, you will officially
become a part of Team Unstoppable—an Unstoppable Artist. We're all going
to the top together, and all grads become a part of this team. Unlike
most other schools, our alumni network is quite organized and extensive,
with all graduates becoming 'partners in success'.

TUITION & ENROLLMENT
What is this ‘Application & Referral Policy’ I keep hearing about?
Yes, it is true. It is now our policy that no one gains admittance to
our school or to any of our programs—our mailing list is the one
exception—without first applying and/or being referred by someone who
can vouch for him or her. We do this for a number of reasons:
a) to weed out those who aren’t really determined to succeed,
b) to act as an initial test of your business savvy and determination,
i.e. will you
do it—can you do it?
c) to keep the quality of students affiliated with the school at the
highest level by
ensuring that you are first screened, and
d) to show you that success is not only about who you know, but who
knows you—and to show you that all of the very connections and resources
you need are actually right in front of your face if only you would open
you eyes

How do I get
a referral? A referral from whom?
You can gain a referral from anyone who knows Monroe Mann personally—and
reasonably well. It’s as simple as that. A qualified referral can be a
graduate of the school; someone who knew him when he was in school; a
fellow actor; a friend of his from college; a military combat buddy;
someone who played in his band; the list goes on and on. It’s really not
that hard. Just ask around. Email your friends. He’s actually a pretty
popular guy and more people know him than you may realize. With but a
little effort, you can find who you need to give you a laudatory
referral.
This whole process seems too hard. Why should I go to all the effort of
applying, interviewing, and finding a referral?
We make it a challenge to get accepted to our school for the very reason
that once ‘in’, we know that we will change your life forever—if you are
open to what we have to say. We only accept those applicants who are
deadly serious about success. If our relatively straightforward and easy
application process seems too hard for you, then more than likely
finding the success of your dreams will also seem too hard for you—and
nothing we do or say is going to influence the necessary changes within
you. By completing our application process, it shows us that you have
the basic attitude and business sense you need to succeed at our school,
and in show business in general.

How much does it cost?
Tuition depends on which course you are taking. Most one-day courses are
$99 - $199 in price. We offer consulting at a rate of $200 for
three-hours. We also offer big discounts for those who register for
multiple courses.
How did you
arrive at your costs of tuition?
We have based our costs of tuition for our various services on a number
of things:
• the success that our students
have had and continue to enjoy
• the critical acclaim for Monroe
and his course from both alumni and the press
• the desire to keep the school
elite, and keep class sizes small and personal
• the reality that Monroe Mann is
involved in many other business endeavors, and that the financial gain
from tuition must be of greater value to him than the time it takes to
run the school

What if I am not satisfied? Do you have a money-back guarantee?
Yes, we do. We offer a complete 100% money-back guarantee. If you’re not
satisfied, we aren’t either. If you’re disappointed for any reason and
feel our products and services didn’t live up to your expectations,
we’ll give you your money back in full—no ifs, ands, or buts. We are so
confident in our program that we are willing to take this risk—the risk
of losing everything. If you are accepted into our program, you have
absolutely nothing to lose by enrolling. We are willing to bet that you
will find the benefit of our school worth far more than the cost. So
take a chance on us—you really have nothing to lose.

Do you offer any
work-study programs?
Occasionally, yes, we do. Please read our Welcome Blog or sign up to our

work-study opportunities. Note: the higher Club level you are in, the
higher preference you will be given.

Can I audit the course?
No. If it is not clear from reading this website that you wish to study
at our school, then more than likely, you are not someone who would
benefit from our course.
How do I enroll?
Unlike most ‘business of the business’ classes, our school does not just
accept anyone who waves a checkbook at us. We consider it an honor and
privilege to study at our school, and thus screen our students very
carefully. If we do not think you will be a good fit, or benefit from
our unique curriculum, we will not accept your money. The first step
towards enrollment is to give us a call at 646-764-1764, or send us an
email at
info@unstoppableartists.com.

I want to work for the Unstoppable Artists Business School. What do I
need to do?
If you think you have what it takes to become an office team member, an
opportunity advisor, or a break diving/business instructor, let us know.
If selected, we’ll pay to put you through the course again and train you
one-on-one. Send us an email if you think you qualify—and it better be a
good one, with no spelling or grammatical errors. Note: the higher Club
level you are in, the higher preference you will be given.

What are the benefits of becoming a UABS instructor/advisor?
• Paid hourly during instruction
AND earn a generous percentage of the full tuition of anyone who enrolls
mentioning your name and teacher number
• Unlimited advising and
assistance from Monroe Mann and the other UABS Instructors/Advisors
• Weekly meetings with all other
staff for brainstorming and social calls
• Access to the Unstoppable
Artists database and Monroe Mann’s connections
• Flexible schedule—usually just
once a week, and if you need to bail one night, as long as you can find
another UABS teacher to cover ‘your shift’, you’re all set
• NOTE: you must fulfill our
instructor criteria to be considered. Rare exceptions may be granted.

Is it true Monroe is/was
in Iraq?
Yes, he’s there until November, 2005 and has been on active duty since
